Uley’s historic community venue — the ideal spot for parties, gatherings and sports

A community venue

This six-acre community venue on the edge of the Cotswold Way was given to the people of Uley to commemorate the bravery of those who served in World War II, including thirteen Uley men who gave their lives to defend our freedom.

Nurtured by volunteers

Starting life as a sloping Shadwell field in the 1950s, it’s been improved and nurtured by volunteers over the decades and now includes a modern pavilion with changing rooms, a level, match-fit sports pitch and plenty of parking. Villagers and visitors enjoy free access to the playing field all year round.

Available for hire

The pavilion and playing field are available for hire throughout the year.
